This Day in History: 1944-11-27

The Village of Hanbury was destroyed when 4,000 shells detonate at the RAF arms depot at Fauld, near Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and killing at least 70 people.  The US 121st Infantry regiment opens an assault on Hurtgen, Germany.
