Honor, Valor, Sacrifice

In Memoriam – LCI Sailors Who Made the Ultimate Sacrifice

The USS LCI National Association honors the memory of the LCI sailors who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country during World War II.  A list of those killed in action has appeared in several Elsie Items over the years with the most recent list published in Elsie Item #100 (March 2018).  The LCI National Association recognizes that the list may not be complete and will continue to do additional research to ensure that all LCI sailors who died during the war are properly recorded.

***The most recent list of LCI sailors killed in action can be viewed by downloading a PDF of this information.

Please Note:  The searchable table below is being revised to include additional information on LCI crew and casualties. It will also include the LCI combat award recipients honored for their valor.  Additional information on LCIs that were damaged or sunk during landings and operations will also be documented in the table. The revised table, when completed, will also be updated periodically as new information is obtained or becomes available.

If you have any information to correct or add to this list please contact us.  Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

We will keep you informed of our progress.
