“Mad Tuesday” when 65,000 Dutch Nazi collaborators flee to Germany.  5 resistance fighters are executed in Terneuzen, Netherlands.  Allies liberate Brussels.  Belgium, Luxembourg & Netherlands sign the Customs Union (BENELUX) agreement.  British Prime Minister Winston Churchill travels to Scotland.   The Dutch Armed Forces forms under the command of Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld.
