Allied air raid on Maastricht, Netherlands with over 80 killed.  General Omar Bradley visits General Bernard Montgomery.  The last Japanese troops are driven out of India.  Nazis give parts of Paris to the Resistance while Paris police strike against their Nazi occupiers.  Polish 1st Division occupies Hill 262 (Mont Ormel), Normandy.  U.S. Army XV Corps occupies Mantes-Gassicourt at Paris.  U.S. 90th & Polish 1st Divisions occupy Chambois, Normandy.
