Gulf of Biskaje (Biscay): Liberator bombers sink U-126.  1st Lieutenant Charles Blakesly Hall, United States Army Air Corps, of the 99th Fighter Squadron is the first of the famous “Tuskegee Airmen” to shoot down an enemy airplane. Cleveland Indians score 12 runs in 4th inning & beat New York Yankees 12-0.
