This Day in History: 1944-06-01

Generals Bernard Montgomery, George S. Patton, Omar Bradley, Miles Dempsey,  & Harry Crerar meet in Portsmouth, England.  Nazi occupiers make it punishable to give aid to allied pilots.  The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) aired a coded message to warn the French resistance that the D-Day invasion was imminent.
