British 11th Hussars occupy Tunis, Tunisia.  Dutch men 18-35 ordered to report to labor camp.  Liberty Ship George Washington Carver named after scientist is launched.  U.S. 1st Armor Division occupies Ferryville, Tunisia. U.S. 9th Infantry Division occupies Bizerta & Bensert, Tunisia.
