Some 289 anti-fascists murdered by Nazis in Rombergpark Dortmund, Germany.  The Soviet Union invaded Austria with the goal of taking Vienna, which it accomplished two weeks later.  A defecting German pilot delivers a Messerschmitt Me 262A-1 to Americans.
