President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed an executive order authorizing the War Relocation Authority, which was put in charge of interring Japanese-Americans, with Milton S. Eisenhower (the younger brother of Dwight D. Eisenhower) as its director.  Illegal Free Netherlands announces boycott of theaters. 2 black players, Jackie Robinson & Nate Moreland, request a tryout with the Chicago White Sox, they are allowed to work out.
