This Day in History: 1943-03-02

The three-day Battle of the Bismarck Sea began in the southwest Pacific and U.S. and Australian warplanes were able to inflict heavy damage on an Imperial Japanese convoy.  The 31st transport from Westerbork, Netherlands to the Sobibor concentration camp in Poland.
