This Day in History: 1945-02-14

British and Canadian forces reached the Rhine River in Germany.  Second day of the bombing of Dresden, Germany by Allied Air Forces.   Prague is bombed probably due to a mistake in the orientation of the pilots bombing Dresden.  Peru, Paraguay, Chile & Ecuador join the United Nations.   Mostar (city in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina, straddling the Neretva River) is liberated by Yugoslav partisans.
