This Day in History: 1943-01-15

The 1st transport of Jews from Amsterdam to concentration camp Vught in the Netherlands.  Work was completed on  the world’s largest office building, the Pentagon, the Headquarters of the U.S. Department of War (now Defense) (1,000 workers completed the air conditioning system). The Soviets begin a counter-offensive at Voronezh, Russia.
